About us

Small, niche, specialist and efficient.

Born in Singapore, Auspire was founded on the passionate belief that Australia and Asia should not just share geographic proximity; that an exchange of learning, ideas, culture and opportunity is possible.

We focus on small, growing Australian private companies. We help them to find investors from Asia who can take them to the next level. We help them when they are ready to expand into Asia. And we provide expertise to support their applications for government incentive programs, both in Australia and in Asia.

Our core market is growing private Australian companies who want to enter the Asian market and/or to source investment from Asia.

We identify possible partners for your business in Asia. We support you in the negotiation process and in establishing your collaboration.

And, when combined, these two things function in a supporting loop. An Asian investor can do a lot to help a small company trying to find its first clients or partners in Asia.

Asian Market Entry

All companies need growth. And sooner or later the Australian market place will not be big enough to give you the growth you need. So it’s necessary to find overseas markets.

The markets of Asia are growing and internationalising. Although they may always predominantly look to Asia for consumption patterns, there are large niches for western products and services. Most of Asia is ten hours or less of flying time from Australia. There is time zone overlap. It’s different. In addition to finding new markets for products or services, there may be synergies you can leverage from an Asian investment – such as call centres. And the Australian government has created schemes and alliances with Asia governments to support Australian businesses.

We focus on business development: the strategic process of creating sales opportunities, and therefore revenue. We can source for you all the company formation work, the immigration advice and the office premises you need. But our sweet spot – and where you must start – is with business development. That’s the strategic precursor of sales. It’s the way you open new markets, and it’s the main determinant of success or failure.

Investment Sourcing

Capital markets in Asia are thriving. Wealth is flooding the region as populous Asian countries grow quickly and generate income for their people. And the investment community is activated by multiple opportunities in the developing markets of Asia – like Vietnam, Indonesia and Myanmar.

Yet the investment flow from Asia to Australia is not where it could be. The investors are there. But they need to better understand what Australia offers; the industry sectors the government supports; and how investments into Australia can provide multiplier benefits elsewhere. Certain areas – like cybersecurity, the circular economy, artificial intelligence, health and life sciences, renewables and clean energy – are key to the future of both Australia and Asia and all governments are supporting these.

The Asian investment landscape is now rich with possible Australian investors. High Net Worth Individuals, Family Offices, strategic corporate investors, Venture Capital and Private Equity firms

Development Incentives

Government incentive schemes and (bilateral and multilateral) international co-operation initiatives have proliferated over the last twenty years.

In Australia, these incentives can come from the federal government and/or the state or territory governments. And market entry activity can be supported in Asia under agreements in place between the Australian government and the applicable Asian government. Some incentives involve substantial cash payments. There are also tax breaks, advisory services and more.

But applying for these grants is complicated and too time-consuming for most small companies. Reams of data is required. Enormous questionnaires. Strategic analyses you never thought you would need.

We take away the difficulty of that situation in an efficient and cost-effective way.
